Collections

ENROLLMENT

When a participant is ordered to ProTrac’s fine collections service, the case manager will review the Court Order and set monthly payments based on the total fines owed and the number of months assigned.  In compliance with Arkansas law, offenders assigned to this service must also be ordered to probation for a set number of months.

FEES

There is a $15 probation set-up fee and each participant is required to pay $35 per month.

Court Automation Fee (ACT 282-13)

In addition to the fine, ProTrac will collect $10 per month for the State ACT 282-13 fee.  This fee is distributed to the Court monthly along with the required printed case information.

FINE DEPOSITORY

We are currently equipped with an IOLTA Trust Account through which all fine, Court Fees, and restitution payments are channeled.  This provides proper accountability for all monies collected and distributed.   In addition, all interest gained from the funds deposited in the IOLTA Trust Account is used for the benefit of the judicial system, by directive of Arkansas Statute.

PAYMENT INCENTIVES

Participants who pay their fine early may be released from the balance of their probation order.  As additional incentives to pay the fine in a more timely fashion, ProTrac will require that the participant appear in our office monthly for a compliance evaluations.

NON-COMPLIANCE

When a participant is not complying with the conditions of their Order, the case manager will issue a violation report to the Court.

COMPLETION

A participant successfully completes their Order when they have paid their fine in full and fulfilled any other requirements ordered by the Court.

FINE PAYMENTS TO COURT

Prior to initialization of any program, ProTrac will determine the distribution of fine payments to the Court, i.e. some Courts require monthly payments and others prefer full payment upon completion.
